Gamma Knife Center - In late 1998, Methodist Hospital opened the Gamma Knife Center, the only one of its kind in San Antonio and South Texas. The Gamma Knife offers new radiosurgical technology designed exclusively for the non-invasive treatment of malignant and benign brain tumors, vascular malformations and other neurologic disorders.
Critical Care Units - there are multiple critical care units at Methodist: surgical intensive care, medical intensive care and neurological intensive care as well as a highly-specialized bone marrow transplant unit. There are also intermediate critical care units for those patients requiring less intensive nursing attention. Methodist Heart Hospital offers coronary care units and heart services.

Obstetric and Maternity Care - Offering full obstetric and maternity care, Methodist Hospital delivers more than 10,000 babies a year - more than any other hospital in San Antonio. To meet the varying needs of newborns and their mothers, birthing and Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) rooms, as well as different levels of nurseries are available in our newly expanded and renovated Women's Pavilion. Moms-to-be can tour our facility on the special Peek-A-Boo Tour and enjoy the benefits of participation in our FirstSteps childbirth and parenting education classes (free with membership in WomanPlus® ).
10 South - Special Amenity Suites at Methodist Hospital are available on the tenth floor of Methodist Hospital. Known as "10 South," these 2 room/2 bath suites offer a wide range of exclusive amenities including an elegant reception/conference area, private dining with a gourmet menu, a business center and access to the Chapel in the Sky. Another special amenities suite located on 5-North is available for patients undergoing gastric bypass surgery or other major surgeries. The suite includes a separate sitting area and bathroom to accommodate an overnight guest, high-speed Internet access, DVD player and refrigerator.
